88% of all strokes are Ischemic Strokes. Stroke is treatable with a high success rate if the patient arrives at a certified stroke center in time for treatment.

Stroke Is On The Rise

Stroke is on the rise, with an average of 4,000 cases reported to Santa Clara County hospitals each year and many more go unreported.

Less Than 50% Arrive to a hospital in time for treatment

Less than 50% of Ischemic Stroke Patients in Santa Clara County are arriving to a Stroke Center in time for treatment, < 4.5 hours from the onset of symptoms.

Less than 50% Arrive by Ambulance

Less than 50% of stroke victims arrive at the hospital via ambulance – risking delay to meet the time window for life saving treatment.
